Wow, so it's been a while...

The final collection is finally complete. Below are the first photographs, taken on location in Shropshire and modelled by the gorgeous Hannah Sewell.

Lets face the facts...

Today was the launch of Topshop’s new makeup range, so I may have bunked off uni for an hour or so to pop along to go and have a nosey...

I seem to have a sort of love/ hate relationship with Topshop. Whilst I love their clothes, I can’t help but think they’re slightly over priced and sometimes find the whole brand a bit pretentious (note; this does not stop me spending the majority of my student loan here).

So off I trotted to Topshop, somewhat ready and eager to return to uni full of abuse and insults about Topshop's overpriced and conceited cosmetics range... only to find I fell in love with the whole bloody lot.

I’m going to be honest; it’s mostly because of the packaging. It gives benefit a run for its money and nearly (but not quite) out does MAC for swishness.

It’s not even that expensive! £8 for a mascara, £6 for a duo eyeshadow, £5 for nail varnish (thats only £1 more than Barry M) and the colours are much-o lush-o.

And then, much to my pure delight I discovered they do these cute makeup tutorials online.

I’m so happy right now I’m not even bothered that I’ve managed to dye the whole bathroom purple.

Hello you...

Don’t you just love it when you stumble across something which just fits so perfectly into your life that you come to wonder how you ever lived without it?

I do.

I experienced something along these lines the other day when I happened across www.atsuii.blogspot.com blog to the larvely larissa from the Gold Coast Australia. At just 17 shes so talented with a camera I’m green (this seasons mint green obviously) with envy.

I adore her understated and dreamy candid pictures. Beautiful.

Thanks Larissa for letting me post the images.

All tied up ...

I am loving ropes at the mo. Twisted, knotted, tied up, fraying...I just think they’re beautiful. As a result they’re providing much of the visual inspiration for my final collection (see previous post).

And it looks like I’m not the only one...check out these stunning rope accessories courtesy of Anthropologie and Sabrina Dehoff.

Pink and perfect...

Not even 9am and I’m already getting distracted from my work. Oh dear, it's going to be a long day.

Check out these beeeautiful images from www.lookbook.nu. Loving the dreamy atmospheres and pearly pink shades. Fueling my desire for the spring sunshine to come back so I can whip out the summer dresses from the back of my wardrobe.

Strike a pose...

My lovely talented friend Rachel Moore and I have just decided to do a photo shoot at the stunning Whitley Court. Rachel was instantly inspired by the eerie beauty and splendour of the burnt out ruined county house (which is much more appealing than it first sounds trust me) and the location fits perfectly with a number of the trends she’s researching as part of her final collection.

Me, if I’m honest, just fancy the trip out but also think the striking empty windows and never ending stone steps (see the images bellow) could provide the perfect back drop for my final collection.

Due to the amount of money we’ve recently both had to painfully part with for yarns, printing, photocopying etc we’ve taken to facebook stalking for models. Luckily we’ve found a fantastic makeup artist from the local college who’s going to assist, but it looks like we’re going to have to beg, borrow and steal the wardrobe.

Aaaah, the joys of being a student...
